How to Have a Nice Conversation with Your Heart
We are often lost in the world. We listen too much to outer voices telling us to think this, do that, and eventually we lose touch with ourselves. That’s why it is important to listen to your heart and have a conversation with it every now and then.
Step 1: Turn Off Distractions
Turn off everything that is grabbing your attention. Turn off your phone, turn off YouTube and Netflix, turn off your music player. You have to stop listening to the world before you can start listening to yourself.
Step 2: Allow Yourself to Be Bored
Boredom leads to true thoughts. Once you’re bored, you can begin to connect with yourself and start feeling what’s inside you.
Step 3: Record Your Thoughts and Emotions
This step is necessary because we often lose touch with ourselves when we start listening to the world again. We have to remember the feeling of talking and listening to ourselves. One way to do this is to record what you truly think.
After you repeat this process every day, you will begin to know yourself better. Then you will know what makes you joyful and energetic, and what makes you sad and disappointed. You can then start taking actions that move you toward the life you want.
